About our Trip

Julie, Terry and Carol Groves fly to Rome on Wednesday, May 11 and arrive the morning of May 12. In Rome we'll be staying at the wonderful Residenza Canali, which our good friends Susan and Jennifer Glimcher recommended. Suz and Jen have laid out a full itinerary for us, as they're seasoned and regular visitors there.

On Monday, May 16, we leave for Civitavecchia, the port of Rome, where we embark on an 11-day Mediterranean cruise. Julie's sister Sheila and Wande Johnson, our friend and neighbor, will join us there. Then we set out to sea for various ports in Greece, Turkey and Italy. Our trip will take us back to ancient times, filled with history and mythology. And we'll be filled with delicious and exotic foods. Will any of us have the discipline to use the fitness center on the ship? Stay tuned. (Probably not, though.)

We arrive back in Civitavecchia, Rome, on May 27, when Julie, Carol and Terry fly back to Washington, and Sheila flies to London to speak at a medical conference.

We will all keep you posted here of our adventures and will include some photos.
